I have just realised I have been a slack blogger of late!
The Girls have gone back to school, and I am busy organising our
next fundraising event for Sam McIntosh. Sam, 17 was involved in a BMX bike accident whilst on a family holiday in Coffs Harbour in September. He is confined to a wheelchair, paralysed from the chest down with limited arm movement. (there was no compensation, so I decided to fundraise ) To date we have raised enough funds to have a spiffy wheelchair made in USA for him, air conditioning in his room and in the living room of the family home, and renovations to the bathroom for wheelchair access. Truly this young man is one of my biggest inspirations - he is positive, has a great sense of humour and is studying year 12 (final year before University for my American friends) - I am amazed daily with his attitude to life - from a young man who was into extreme sports, just Saturday I saw him and he and his brother Adam were off to play tennis.
I have become very close to the whole family and I am in awe of this special family bond.....
Sam is a true blessing in my life and the lives of Mia and Ella ..
Thanks SAMMY!!xxxxx
I am also trying to organise myself for an Anzac Day crop in Ballarat - from 12noon until 12pm!! Yippee at the Imagination Factory - so all that scrapping time YEAH
Next Friday so I better get my skates on and organise the layouts I wish to scrap (and I promise I will not talk tooo much lol!!!)
I have set myself a goal to complete 15 layouts - so wish me luck! More will be a bonus LOL!
So if anyone in blogland is free on Anzac Day and lives near Ballarat, give The Imagination Factory a call to make your booking!
Until next time, hopefully I will have some pics and layouts to post
xxxM
That is amazing the amount of fundraising your have received. Such wonderful and giving people. If possible we'd love to see a picture of this incredible young man! Truly an inspiration to all!
